My Work
My work examines how artificial intelligence is changing people, education and organisations.
Across these areas, I am interested in a central question: how can technological progress strengthen human capability, rather than reduce human agency, judgement and purpose?
My research and practice are organised around three connected areas.
Helping people learn, work and lead in the age of AI
I explore one of the defining questions of our time: how can we use artificial intelligence to strengthen human capability rather than diminish it?
I am an academic, author and award-winning educator working at the intersection of AI, education, innovation and the future of work. I hold a PhD in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour and currently teach Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Newcastle in Australia.
My career has never followed a single disciplinary path. I have built a mental health start-up, established a skills development academy to expand educational opportunities for women in India, taught across several countries and helped students transform ideas into meaningful solutions. These experiences have shaped my belief that education should do more than transfer knowledge. It should develop agency, judgement, creativity and the confidence to act.
My current work examines how generative AI is reshaping learning, leadership, professional identity and human expertise. I am particularly interested in designing educational experiences that make human thinking visible and place AI in the role of a collaborator, rather than a substitute for learning.
I have shared my work at international forums including UNESCO Digital Learning Week and the Academy of Management. I am also the editor of Shaping Tomorrow: The Human Journey with AI and co-editor of Educational Leadership in the AI Age: Leading Beyond Knowledge.
Guided by the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai, my work is ultimately about purpose. I want to help educators, organisations and leaders navigate technological change without losing sight of what makes learning and work meaningfully human.
